How your move to Belgium works
From the inventory list in Switzerland to assembly in Brussels or your destination.
- 01
Viewing and inventory list
We assess the volume free of charge on site or by video and prepare the inventory list for customs.
- 02
Preparing your departure
You deregister with your municipality and register with the Swiss representation in your destination country. Compulsory Swiss health insurance ends when you move abroad.
- 03
Customs papers
Household goods are generally duty-free when you relocate your residence, under Regulation (EC) No 1186/2009. We prepare the documents for export from Switzerland and import into Belgium and accompany the clearance. We handle the import clearance ourselves.
- 04
Transport
Direct trip on your date or a cheaper shared load, insured with our transport insurance. It is about 488 km as the crow flies from Glattbrugg to Brussels.

- 06Optional
Cleaning in Switzerland

From furniture to personal belongings to fragile items – everything is carefully packed, protected, and safely delivered to its destination.
This way, your new life in Belgium begins calmly, in an organized way, and stress-free.
After arrival, your residence must be registered promptly with the relevant municipal administration (Commune/Gemeente) – this is a requirement for entry into the Belgian population register. As an EU member state, Belgium grants duty-free import of removal goods when moving from Switzerland under certain conditions (including at least six months of prior use). Whether a Private Relocation or Corporate Relocation to Brussels, Antwerp, or Ghent: we clarify the customs forms in advance and coordinate the date as part of the On-Site Moving Consultation. If pets are traveling with you, the additional guidelines for Moving with Pets within the EU apply.
