For duty-free import of household goods into Switzerland: the items must have been in personal use for at least six months before the move, and the change of residence must be declared to the Swiss customs authorities (BAZG) using Form 18.44 (“Customs assessment of removal goods”) – it’s best to submit the file at least two working days before crossing the border. After arrival, registration with the residents’ registration office of the new municipality follows. As with our quotes, this is a flat-rate quote with a guaranteed price including insurance and protective materials. The final price is determined individually after a free on-site assessment.
